The Bergamasco Sheepdog made its Westminster Kennel Club debut in 2016. Since then, Alp Angel dogs have earned six Best of Breed wins at Westminster, along with Amira’s Best of Opposite Sex win in the breed’s inaugural year, for a total of seven Westminster wins. This includes a five year consecutive run in which an Alp Angel dog held the Best of Breed win every year.

Westminster has been an important part of our history with the breed, not simply because of the wins themselves, but because of what those dogs represented. Over the years, our Bergamascos have been recognized for the qualities we value most: sound structure, balanced movement, breed type, and the confidence to present themselves well in the ring.

The photographs on this page are a look back at those years, the dogs who represented us, and the moments that became part of Alp Angel history.

A heartfelt thank you to our dear friend and handler, Amanda Shea, who has spent so many years alongside our dogs, guiding them through some of their most memorable moments in the show ring. Her dedication, care, and genuine affection for each of them have meant more to me than any win or ribbon. Over the years, Amanda has become an important part of their lives and mine, and I am deeply grateful for the friendship, trust, and wonderful memories we've shared.
