Anthea was born in Nova Scotia from my very first Bergamasco litter, the daughter of Lothario and Mezza. She was a petite female with tremendous self confidence and was always ready to be part of whatever adventure was happening around her.Anthea loved people, children, and cats. Like both of her parents, she was exceptionally tolerant with children and genuinely enjoyed being included in their play. She loved life on the farm and was happiest when she could be part of everything going on around the animals. She gave birth to more than 20 puppies in her lifetime and was a wonderful mother with strong natural instincts. One of my favorite memories of her says everything about that side of her personality. She once stole an entire foot long sandwich from the kitchen and proudly carried it back to her whelping box for her one day old puppies.Anthea cared deeply about the other dogs in our home and had a joyful, happy spirit that stayed with her throughout her life. We were incredibly lucky to have so many years with her. She is still deeply missed.
