Preservation Breeder of Bergamasco Sheepdogs in New England since 2005

Alp Angel Bergamascos is a small preservation breeding program dedicated to the Bergamasco Sheepdog, a rare old-world herding breed. Located in Maine and serving New England, our focus is thoughtful breeding that supports correct breed type, sound structure, stable temperament, and long-term health.

Our dogs are evaluated throughout growth and maturity, with careful attention to how form supports function. Responsible preservation breeding means acknowledging where a breed has been — and working intentionally toward where it should be.

Our dogs are raised in a home environment and developed with purpose. We value moderation and soundness appropriate to the breed’s original function, with temperaments suited to real life. Each breeding decision reflects our commitment to preserving the Bergamasco Sheepdog while contributing thoughtfully to its future.

We place puppies thoughtfully in pet, show, and working homes.
