Alp Angel Bergamascos is a small preservation breeding program dedicated to the Bergamasco Sheepdog, a rare old-world herding breed. Located in Maine and serving New England, our focus is thoughtful breeding that supports correct breed type, sound structure, stable temperament, and long-term health.

Our dogs are evaluated throughout growth and maturity, with careful attention to how form supports function. Responsible preservation breeding means acknowledging where a breed has been — and working intentionally toward where it should be.

Our dogs are raised in a home environment and developed with purpose. We value moderation and soundness appropriate to the breed’s original function, with temperaments suited to real life.
